Every day, more than 35,000 Danes are on sick leave from their jobs due to stress-related illnesses. Sick leave due to stress costs an estimated 1.5 million extra days of absence annually. This corresponds to an annual cost to society of 27 billion kroner (Source: Stressforeningen).
